The Start-Up
Fall 2005: "Important First Meeting Announcement - Thursday,October 27,2005: Independent Community Living for People with Physical Disabilities." Flyers and emails were sent out. With the help of Residential Living Options, fourteen came to that first meeting to share ideas and plan next steps. Many others emailed that they couldn't attend the meeting but hoped to in the future. We were encouraged. By mid-November, there were 54 people who wanted to be "in the loop" on the email list. We thank the early participants, consultants and enthusiasts with gratitude for all the meetings, consulting, network, support and wisdom.
